Learn to see
I think it is very important to learn how to see before you start taking pictures because if you can even see a picture then you wont be able to see a picture before you get ready to take one. Training the eye is smart because you don't have to worry about taking any pictures in the first place you can just focus on what you need to look for in the first place.

Have a plan
Have a plan know what to look for and know how to look for it. You must be original you can use a similar idea but take those ideas to heart and change them.
